In some circumstances, we may need to refuse a sale, delivery or collection in order to meet our legal obligations.
Common reasons service may be refused
Service may be refused where there are concerns about:
- intoxication
- secondary supply
- school uniform
- minors
Intoxication
LANGTONS cannot sell or supply alcohol to a person who is intoxicated.
Secondary supply
We may refuse service if we reasonably believe an adult is purchasing alcohol on behalf of:
- a person under 18
- an intoxicated person
School uniform
As part of our refusal of service policy, we do not sell alcohol to young people wearing school uniform, including sports uniform, even if they are over 18.
Minors
It is illegal to sell or supply alcohol to a person under 18.
You must be over 18 to:
- create an account for alcohol purchases
- place an order
- receive a delivery
- collect an order
Delivery requirements
By default, deliveries require a signature and proof of identity. Where available, customers may choose unattended delivery at checkout.
