At LANGTONS, all wine purchased and sold is stored in our temperature-controlled national warehouse near Melbourne. This helps preserve condition and allows us to dispatch orders with care, whether you are purchasing from the Wine Store, buying at auction or arranging delivery through Client Services or Private Sales.
Delivery options
Depending on the type of order, LANGTONS may offer:
- standard delivery
- auto shipping for eligible auction purchases
- consolidated shipping for eligible auction purchases
- collection from selected locations, including participating Dan Murphy’s stores
- storage for eligible auction purchases
- warm weather warehouse holds, where selected
All orders must be paid in full before dispatch or collection.
Shipping within Australia
For standard Wine Store deliveries within Australia, shipping fees are:
- Metro areas: $18.50 per order
- Regional areas: $23.00 per order
Pick Up orders
Standard shipping fees also apply to Pick Up orders, including those collected from participating Dan Murphy’s stores.
Delivery partners
LANGTONS’ primary delivery partners are:
- Endeavour Delivery
- Australia Post
These services are covered by our standard shipping fees.
Where needed, we also have access to a broader network of carriers to help achieve the most suitable delivery outcome for your order. This may be helpful for:
- specialised delivery requirements
- regional or harder-to-service locations
- tailored shipping arrangements
- certain time-sensitive or premium delivery needs

Delivery timeframes
LANGTONS aims to dispatch orders promptly once payment is complete.
Once dispatched, delivery typically takes 2 to 10 business days across Australia, depending on:
- destination
- carrier schedules
- seasonal demand
- weather
- other delays outside our reasonable control
During peak periods, dispatch and delivery may take a little longer than usual.
Signature and proof of identity
By default, deliveries require a signature and proof of identity.
Where available, customers may choose unattended delivery at checkout.
If unattended delivery is selected, you authorise the delivery partner to leave your order at the nominated address without obtaining a signature. Where unattended delivery has been requested, risk passes once delivery has been made in accordance with your instructions.
All deliveries remain subject to Responsible Service of Alcohol obligations.
Delivery instructions
Where available, delivery instructions can be added during checkout.
Examples may include:
- safe place instructions
- gate or access notes
- location guidance for the driver
LANGTONS and its delivery partners will make every reasonable effort to follow your instructions, but this may depend on:
- site access
- safety
- carrier limitations
- Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements
Pick Up your order
Selected goods may be Pick Up from selected locations.
Pick Up from participating Dan Murphy’s stores is available nationally for all products.
To Pick Up your order, you — or your nominated representative — must:
- be at least 18 years old
- show valid proof of age and identity
- provide a signature on collection
If you nominate another person to collect on your behalf, they must also be 18 years or older and present valid identification.
Standard shipping fees apply to Pick Up orders.
Tracking your order
Once your order has been dispatched, you can track it through your LANGTONS account.
To track your order:
- log in to your account
- open the Orders section
- select Track an Order
If your order has been dispatched and tracking is not visible after 48 hours, please contact our team.
Auction shipping options
Eligible auction purchases may be managed using one of the following delivery preferences.
Auto shipping
When selected, eligible auction purchases are processed for dispatch automatically, generally on the next business day after the auction closes.
Consolidated shipping
Consolidated shipping allows eligible auction purchases to be grouped into one delivery every 30 days.
Automatic consolidated shipping is calculated based on the oldest unshipped invoice in your account.
If that invoice is more than 30 days old:
- it will not be included in automatic consolidated shipping
- it must be shipped separately, or manually grouped with more recent purchases
- storage fees may apply if it is not shipped
This option can help you:
- combine multiple auction purchases into one shipment
- reduce shipping charges
- manage deliveries more efficiently
You can manage these settings in your account under:
- My Account > Dashboard > Manage Preferences > Auctions & Deliveries
If you would prefer not to use consolidated shipping, you will need to contact our Customer Experience Team to opt out.
Storage
LANGTONS offers storage for eligible auction purchases in our temperature-controlled warehouse.
Storage is available as an alternative to consolidated shipping. If you opt out of consolidated shipping, via our Customer Experience team, your purchases will become eligible for storage charges if they remain at LANGTONS beyond the applicable shipping timeframe.
Storage fee
Storage is charged at:
- $0.40 per bottle, per month
When storage fees apply
If your goods remain at LANGTONS and are not covered by an automatic delivery preference, storage fees may begin from the 21st of the month.
Storage fees are generally charged to the nominated credit card linked to your account.
Storage can be useful if:
- you are travelling
- your cellar is at capacity
- you would prefer to consolidate purchases before delivery
Warm weather shipping
Fine wine can be sensitive to travelling in prolonged heat, so during warmer months LANGTONS offers greater flexibility over how your orders are dispatched.
You can set your account to automatically hold eligible orders at our warehouse if warm weather is forecast to be 29°C or above. in the delivery area, or along the transport journey.
Please note, this option does not apply to Pick Up orders, as these orders are delviered direct to stores, generally reducing transit times.
Default setting
Unless you update your preference, your orders will be dispatched as soon as possible, regardless of weather conditions.
How to update your preference
In your account:
- log in to your account
- go to My Account > Dashboard
- select Manage Preferences
- choose Auctions & Deliveries
- tick Set my shipping default to hold orders at the warehouse if warm weather is forecast in the delivery area
- click Save
Flexible options at checkout
When placing an order online or manually arranging delivery for auction purchases, you may be able to choose to hold or not hold your order based on the forecast.
If you order through your Private Client Manager, simply let them know your preference.
Releasing a held order
If your order is being held due to warm weather, you can contact LANGTONS at any time to request dispatch, regardless of temperature, this can take up to 10 days depending on current demand.
Once dispatched, standard delivery timeframes remain 2 to 10 business days across Australia.

Delivery Guarantee
LANGTONS offers an optional Delivery Guarantee for auction purchased for an additional fee.
Cost
The Delivery Guarantee fee is calculated in the cart at 1.5% of the value of the goods.
What it covers
If eligible goods are lost or damaged during delivery, LANGTONS may:
- replace the goods, where available, or
- refund the amount paid for the affected goods
What we may ask for
To assess a claim, we may request:
- photographs of the packaging or damage
- proof of loss or damage
- return of damaged goods, where appropriate
- other information reasonably required to review the claim
What it does not cover
The Delivery Guarantee does not cover loss or damage arising from:
- incorrect delivery details
- unattended delivery requested by you
- delivery made in accordance with your instructions
- heat damage during transit
- minor cosmetic issues, such as label staining, where there is no material product loss

Certain postcodes and restricted delivery areas may not be serviceable.
