Goods held by LANGTONS remain at the seller’s risk until they are returned to the seller or purchased by a buyer, except where loss or damage is caused by LANGTONS’ negligence or wilful misconduct.
In practical terms
This means LANGTONS is not generally responsible for loss or damage unless it arises from LANGTONS’ own negligence or wilful misconduct.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LANGTONS’ liability is limited to:
- the hammer price or store price, if the goods have been sold, or
- if unsold, the low estimate less commission
If you would like additional protection, you may wish to arrange your own insurance before sending goods to LANGTONS.
