For added peace of mind, LANGTONS offers an optional Delivery Guarantee on all auction purchases. Where selected, it provides cover for eligible wines that are lost or damaged in transit.
How the fee is calculated
Calculated in the cart at 1.5% of the value of the goods on the order.
What the Guarantee covers
If eligible wines are lost or damaged during delivery, LANGTONS may:
- replace the wines, where available, or
- refund the amount paid for the affected wines
What we may ask for
To consider a claim, we may request:
- photographs of the packaging or damage
- proof of loss or damage
- return of damaged wines, where appropriate
- any other information reasonably required to review the claim
What is not covered
The Delivery Guarantee does not cover loss or damage arising from:
- incorrect delivery details
- unattended delivery requested by you
- delivery made in accordance with your instructions
- heat damage during transit
- minor cosmetic issues, such as label staining, where there is no material loss
