To help safeguard your account, LANGTONS applies multi-factor authentication — known as MFA — to every sign-in. Once you enter your login details, you will be asked to verify your identity using a one-time passcode.
Why MFA matters
MFA adds a quiet but important layer of protection, helping to defend against:
- unauthorised account access
- scams and phishing attempts
- fraudulent activity
Setting up MFA
When prompted, you will be invited to:
- verify the email address linked to your LANGTONS account
- nominate a mobile number for future verification
- verify that mobile number using a one-time passcode
Once complete, your account is protected by MFA.
Updating the mobile number used for MFA
You may update your MFA mobile number at any time:
- Log in to your LANGTONS account.
- Go to My Account > Profile > Account Details.
- Locate the mobile number field and enter your new number.
- Save your changes.
A one-time passcode will be sent to the new number to verify it. Once verified, the new number will be used for all future MFA prompts.
International mobile numbers
If you do not have an Australian mobile number, you may still authenticate. Please enter your number with the country code and without symbols or additional zeroes.
If your code does not arrive
Please try the following:
- wait a few minutes
- check your spam or junk folder
- if using Android, check blocked or spam SMS folders
- select Resend Code
A newly issued code will replace the previous one and remain valid for 10 minutes.
Verification messages that look unusual
Verification emails will always come from: no-reply@verify.langtons.com.au
LANGTONS will never ask for personal information in a verification email or SMS. If you receive a message that looks suspicious, please report it to hoax@edg.com.au.
