Acquiring fine wine with LANGTONS is a considered process — and a simple one. Whether you are bidding at auction, browsing the Wine Store or working with a Private Client Manager, the journey unfolds in five elegant steps.
Step 1 — Become a Member
You will need an active LANGTONS membership to buy. If you are new, you can register in a few minutes. You must be 18 or over.
Step 2 — Choose how you would like to acquire
- Wine Store — browse and acquire immediately at a set price
- Auctions — place a bid, or set an AutoBid maximum, on lots that capture your interest
- Client Services — invite our specialists to source a specific wine on your behalf
- Private Sales — acquire from our discreet, exclusive offerings
Step 3 — Place your bid, or add to your cart
For Wine Store and Private Sales purchases, add your selections to the cart and proceed to checkout.
For Auction, place a bid or set an AutoBid maximum on each lot.
Step 4 — Settle your purchase
How your purchase is settled depends on the channel and value:
- For Auction purchases of $10,000 or less, your nominated credit card may be charged automatically once the auction closes.
- For Auction purchases above $10,000, you will be invited to nominate your preferred payment method within four calendar days of the auction close, with payment due within 30 calendar days.
For full detail, see Settling your purchase.
Step 5 — Choose how you would like to receive your wines
Once settled, you may choose standard delivery, your preferred auction shipping arrangement, Storage with LANGTONS (for auction purchases), or Pick Up from a participating location.
