Once your wines leave our cellaring facility, this is what to expect — from dispatch, through the journey with Australia Post, to the moment they reach your door. This article brings together both delivery timeframes and how to track your order along the way.
Dispatch
LANGTONS aims to process and dispatch eligible orders within two business days of payment.
Timeframes
Once dispatched, your wines travel with Australia Post via standard Parcel Post. As a guide, Australia Post's current Parcel Post estimates are:
- Within the same state: 2 to 4 business days
- Interstate: 3 to 6 business days
These are guides only, counted in business days after the day of posting. Actual timeframes depend on the specific origin and destination, Australia Post's network conditions, seasonal demand, and weather or other matters outside our control. For the most current estimate to your address, please refer to Australia Post's Delivery speeds and coverage page.
During peak periods or disruptions
At busy times, or where the delivery network is congested or otherwise disrupted, dispatch and delivery may take a little longer than usual. For current advice, see Australia Post's Disruptions and updates page.
Warm weather holds
If you have selected a warm weather hold preference, or chosen to hold an order at checkout, dispatch may be delayed until conditions are more suitable or until you request release. For more, see Caring for your wines through the warmer months.
Tracking through your LANGTONS account
- Log in to your account.
- Open the Orders section.
- Select Track an Order.
Tracking information will usually appear once the order has been dispatched. If your order has been dispatched and tracking is not visible after 48 hours, please speak with our Customer Experience team.
Tracking with Australia Post
Once your parcel is on its way, Australia Post offers its own tracking tools, using the tracking number provided with your order:
- Track Advice emails — Australia Post's free service sends email updates with your tracking number and the progress of your parcel. No account or login is required; all you need is the tracking number.
- The AusPost app — for real-time notifications, an estimated delivery date, a two-hour delivery window, proof of delivery and attempted-delivery images, a collection QR code and Parcel Locker access. If you hold an Australia Post account, eligible parcels can be added automatically.
For more, see Australia Post's Tracking service page.
Understanding your tracking status
Tracking status may not change as quickly as you might expect, as a parcel passes through a number of steps before delivery. For example, "it's on its way" simply means your parcel has been posted, processed by Australia Post and is moving through their sorting network. Depending on the distance to be travelled and the time of year, a parcel may show "it's on its way" for some time before the next update. This is quite normal, and does not indicate a problem.
