Wines held by LANGTONS remain at the Seller's risk until they are returned to the Seller or acquired by a Buyer, except where loss or damage is caused by LANGTONS' negligence or wilful misconduct.
In practical terms
LANGTONS is not generally responsible for loss or damage unless it arises from our own negligence or wilful misconduct.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LANGTONS' liability is limited to:
- the Hammer Price or Store Price, if the wines have been sold, or
- if unsold, the Low Estimate less commission
If you would like additional protection, you may wish to arrange your own insurance before sending wines into our care.
