Whether an order can be changed or cancelled depends on how it was placed and how far along it is in fulfilment.
Auction purchases
Once you place a bid at auction, you are making an irrevocable offer to buy. If you are the successful bidder, the sale is binding and cannot be cancelled by you.
If you believe a bid was placed in error, please contact our Auction or Customer Experience teams as soon as possible. LANGTONS may consider the request at its discretion, but cancellation is not guaranteed.
Wine Store, Private Sales and Client Services orders
To change or cancel a Wine Store or Client Services order, please speak with our Customer Experience team as soon as possible after placing the order.
- If the order has not yet been dispatched, we will generally be able to cancel or amend it.
- If the order has already been dispatched, cancellation is not possible. You may instead be eligible for a change-of-mind return — see Change-of-mind returns.

When LANGTONS may cancel an order
LANGTONS may cancel an order, in whole or in part, where:
- the wines are not available
- the delivery address is subject to alcohol delivery restrictions and an alternative cannot be agreed
- we are unable to process your payment
- the order is in breach of our Terms and Conditions or any law
If we cancel an order, we will be in touch and process any applicable refund to the original payment method.
Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow a few business days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank.
