Every wine in our care rests, for a time, in our temperature-controlled cellaring facility near Melbourne, where condition and provenance are protected. When the moment comes to send your wines on, that same care travels with them.
This article offers an overview of how delivery works at LANGTONS. For detail on any particular element, follow the linked articles below.
How your wines may travel
Depending on the order, the following may be available:
- Standard delivery — to your nominated Australian address.
- Auto shipping — for eligible auction purchases, dispatched the next business day after the auction closes.
- Consolidated shipping — for eligible auction purchases, grouped every 30 days.
- Pick Up — from participating Dan Murphy's stores nationally, or other selected locations.
- Storage — eligible auction purchases held in our cellaring facility.
Delivery fees
For standard Wine Store deliveries within Australia, shipping fees are:
- Metro areas: $18.50 per order
- Regional areas: $23.00 per order
International delivery is quoted on a case-by-case basis. For more, see Delivery fees and International delivery.
Delivery partners
Our primary partners are Endeavour Delivery and Australia Post, with access to a broader network of carriers for specialised or tailored requirements. For more, see Our delivery partners.
Where we deliver
LANGTONS delivers to most Australian locations, subject to carrier coverage, state and territory laws, and Responsible Service of Alcohol obligations. A small number of postcodes are not serviceable. For more, see Where we are able to deliver.
Timeframes
Once dispatched, delivery typically takes 2 to 10 business days across Australia. During peak periods, this may extend a little. For more, see Delivery timeframes.
Before dispatch
All orders must be settled in full before dispatch or collection.
Receiving your delivery
By default, deliveries require a signature and proof of identity. Where you prefer, unattended delivery may be selected at checkout. All deliveries remain subject to Responsible Service of Alcohol obligations. For more, see Receiving your delivery and Delivery preferences and instructions.
Auction shipping preferences
Eligible auction purchases may be managed using auto shipping or consolidated shipping. Consolidated shipping groups eligible auction purchases into one delivery every 30 days, calculated from the oldest unshipped invoice in your account. If that invoice is more than 30 days old, it will fall outside automatic consolidated shipping, and storage fees may apply if it is not dispatched.
For a comparison of the two, see Choosing between auto and consolidated shipping.
Storage
If you would prefer your wines rest a little longer in our care, Storage is available for eligible auction purchases. For more, see Storing your wines with LANGTONS and Storage fees.
Protection and seasonal care
- The LANGTONS Delivery Guarantee — optional cover for loss or damage in transit.
- Warm weather holds — eligible orders may be held in our care when high temperatures are forecast. For more, see Caring for your wines through the warmer months.
